• Strong academic qualifications as a CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• SAP system experience, particularly in production and financial modules.

Responsibilities

• Ownership and maintenance of group wide cost/bill of materials data.
• Validation of standard costs for new products.
• Support preparation of monthly management accounts.
• SAP production month end close for all manufacturing plants.
• Monthly analysis of standard to actual BOM variances.
• Monthly forecast of raw material purchases.
• Weekly tracking of raw material purchase variances.
• Provide financial support for strategic projects.

HOURS: 08:30 - 17:00 Monday - Friday - 12 month FTC

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accountant to join our Operational Finance team, a cornerstone of the Group's Finance function, on a 12 Month fixed term contract.

This role will play a key part in supporting day‑to‑day financial operations while supporting the team, during our transition and build of our inhouse IT system.

WHAT OUR MANUFACTURING ACCOUNTANTS DO:

• Ownership and maintenance of group wide cost/bill of materials (BOM) data, for all our own‑manufactured and bought‑in products
• Validation of standard costs for new products and changes to existing products
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts for our Operational sites:
• SAP production month end close process for all manufacturing plants
• Monthly analysis and understanding of standard to actual BOM variances, including identification and recording of corrective actions and adjustments
• Monthly forecast of raw material purchases for manufacturing and recycling operations, working closely with our Planning and Procurement teams
• Weekly tracking of raw material purchase variances to budget and forecasts
• Provide financial support for important strategic projects as required

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR MANUFACTURING ACCOUNTANT:

• Strong academic qualifications CIMA / ACCA qualified accountant
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• SAP system experience beneficial, particularly production and financial modules
• Full UK driver's license required
