Job summary

Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Accountant, based in Aberdeen. This has been released on a 6 month PAYE contract in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities

To provide cover in areas to include -

  • G&A - forecasting, month end accruals and reporting, timewriting, headcount reporting
  • Logistics - forecasting, month end accruals and allocations to activities, reporting
  • Support to joint venture audits
  • Any other joint venture cost related activities
Specific Requirements
  • Previous experience in an Oil & Gas Operator environment preferred.
  • Familiar with joint venture accounting processes
  • Familiar with cost allocation methodologies (eg G&A, logistics)
  • Previous experience with SAP, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to monthly deadlines.
  • Flexible - capable of working on own initiative, but also demonstrating great teamwork.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - to make sense of complex data, assess options and make sound recommendations.
  • Organizational skills - ensure all deliverables are fulfilled on time and of good quality.
  • The ideal candidate will have gained their experience within an operator business and be familiar with all JV accounting processes and cost allocation methodologies.
