Job Title: Accountant (Fixed-Term, 1 Year)
Location: London - Hybrid (2 days in office)
Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (12 months)
Salary: £45-50k + 20% Bonus

Our client are a development organisation committed to delivering change on climate, nature and sustainability. They are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join our London-based finance team on a one-year fixed term contract. Reporting to the Global Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Assist with management reporting and the budgeting/forecasting process.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Contribute to the preparation of audit materials and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Provide financial analysis to support decision-making across the organisation.
Skills and Experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
