A leading data and technology company in Greater London seeks an experienced Account Manager for their weather division. You will strategically manage client accounts to drive revenue growth through relationship building and identify upselling opportunities. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in SaaS sales and account management. The position offers a hybrid work model and a competitive salary between £67,500 and £90,000.

As an Account Manager in our weather division, you will be the strategic owner of client accounts, ensuring long‑term success and revenue growth. You will serve as a consultative advisor, building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and expanding the account through cross‑selling and upselling. You are expected to identify opportunities within existing accounts so that DTN’s solutions continue to meet evolving customer needs.
Account Ownership & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.
Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a strategic consultant.
Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, challenges, and business objectives.
Build strong, meaningful Territory & Account Plans
Provide proactive recommendations, introducing new solutions that add value and drive engagement.
Have a deep understanding of weather
Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by delivering top‑notch service and innovative solutions.
Sales Growth – Cross‑Selling & Upselling
Identify the need to bring in additional DTN expertise and solution‑engineer resources for ongoing account expansion.
Identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities to expand account value.
Conduct regular business reviews with clients to uncover unmet needs.
Strategically introduce new products, services, and solutions that align with client goals.
Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to optimize client offerings.
Negotiate contract renewals above a set threshold, ensuring continued success and profitability.
Hunt for Additional Opportunities
Continuously analyze accounts for new business opportunities, leveraging industry insights and customer feedback.
Identify potential referrals, partnerships, and expansions within existing accounts.
Stay ahead of industry trends to recommend solutions that differentiate DTN.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales preferred; or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience in software and/or SaaS sales.
5 years of experience in account management, consultative sales, or B2B client relations.
Strong understanding of the energy, utility, and weather industries.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
Proven ability to drive revenue growth through cross‑selling and upselling.
Self‑motivated with a strategic mindset and proactive approach to account management.
Proficiency in SFDC for tracking leads and managing pipeline.
A consultative and professional approach to engaging with customers.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between £67,500 and £90,000. DTN is a pay‑for‑performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered will depend on many factors including but not limited to prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity, and applicable laws. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market‑competitive variable pay and benefits.
