Commercial Account Handler - Worcester

Are you an experienced Commercial Account Handler looking to join a respected, people-focused insurance brokerage? Our client, a well-established firm based in the heart of Worcester, is renowned for their expert advice, long-term client relationships, and supportive team culture. Due to continued growth, they're seeking confident and knowledgeable professionals to join their expanding team.

As a Commercial Account Handler, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of commercial clients across a range of industries. You'll deliver tailored insurance solutions, provide trusted advice, and build strong, lasting relationships.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs), and new business quotations

  • Advising clients on a broad spectrum of commercial insurance products

  • Negotiating with insurers to secure competitive terms and comprehensive cover

  • Supporting Account Executives with administrative and technical tasks

  • Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures

  • Providing a high standard of customer service to foster client loyalty and retention

About You

We're looking for someone who brings both expertise and enthusiasm to the role.

You will ideally have:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Commercial Account Handler position or similar role

  • A solid understanding of the insurance market

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines

  • Experience using insurance based systems and MS Excel

  • Cert CII qualification (not essential)
