Job description
Overview

This role is integral to ensuring the fleet operates safely and efficiently, adhering to all technical documentation and company procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks as directed by the Hangar Foreman, SLE, or LE, and assist other staff to ensure safe and effective working practices.
  • Ensure task bookings are accurate and inform the Hangar Foreman if additional time is required to complete a task.
  • Move heavy equipment, tooling, and spares around the site, potentially using forklifts (training will be provided).
  • Assist with aircraft cleaning and maintain a clean working environment around the aircraft and facilities.
  • Service aircraft toilets during maintenance and contain any fuel or oil spillage.
  • Assist with aircraft manoeuvring requirements and ensure waste products are separated and recycled as necessary.
  • Charge scissor lifts at the end of shifts and ensure battery servicing, as well as ensure all company vehicles are clean, fluid levels checked, and report any safety concerns.
  • Maintain all equipment in a serviceable, clean, and safe condition, reporting any faults immediately.
  • Carry out additional team responsibilities or any other reasonable request from the Hangar Foreman, SLE, LE, or Hangar Management Team.
Job Requirements
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance or a comparable industry, or a recognised aircraft apprenticeship with at least one year of aircraft experience.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Competency Assessment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and unsupervised when required.
  • Good awareness of Aviation safety and good communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a powerset (GPU).
Desirable Skills
  • Previous aircraft experience in a comparable trade or industry.
  • Experience working at an operational aerodrome.
Additional Information

Shift pattern: 5 on, 5 off, 4 on, 4 off (Day shifts) from 7am to 7pm.
