Gap Personnel is currently recruiting for a skilled 6G TIG Welder to join our client in Walsall. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to secure a permanent role after just 3 months. If you have experience in TIG welding, specifically within the boiler or pressure vessel industry, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm Pay From £17.50
Friday: Early finish at lunchtime
Perform 6G TIG welding on a variety of materials, with a primary focus on stainless steel.
Experience in welding on complex structures, such as boilers and pressure vessels, ensuring all welds meet the highest standards of quality.
Ensure that all welding work is completed according to health and safety regulations, and that the site maintains high safety standards.
Perform welding tasks on large-scale projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical drawings and specifications.
Work as part of a skilled team, supporting the production process and meeting project deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to best practices in welding and metalwork.
Proven experience as a 6G TIG Welder, with a focus on boiler or pressure vessel work.
Strong understanding of welding codes and standards.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints to complete welding tasks accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, specifically working with stainless steel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Good understanding of health and safety protocols within the welding industry.
