A leading Nanny placement agency seeks a caring and reliable nanny to look after a 1-year-old in Thornbury until November 2026. The role involves creating a safe and engaging environment, planning stimulating activities, and preparing meals. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of childcare experience and a Paediatric First Aid certificate. A driving license and own vehicle are essential. Pay is £16 gross per hour, working Tuesday to Thursday, 8 am–6 pm.

The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment while supporting the child’s developmental milestones. He loves to sit and look at books, go to soft play and be outdoors, exploring his environment. He is almost walking so it is a fun time for him. The parents are happy for you to take him to local groups to support his socialisation.
Your duties will be all child related, planning and engaging in fun and stimulating activities at home and outdoors, taking him to the zoo, parks, ensuring his development needs are being met. You will be expected to prepare healthy snacks and meals for him and follow his established routines for sleep, meals and play times, providing a safe environment with high quality care.
If you are a warm, patient and engaging Nanny who has experience of this age group and a good knowledge of child development, enjoys providing a fun environment for a child to learn and thrive, this could be the position for you.
For all roles with children and the vulnerable, you must have an up-to-date enhanced eDBS certificate registered on the update service, a 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate and a minimum of two professional referees who are happy for you to share their contact details to our recruiters. One of your references must be your current or last employer and both references must be immediately contactable. We also recommend that you have appropriate personal insurance.
Whilst we usually undertake all registration interviews and right to work checks in person face to face, we will in certain circumstances consider video call registrations and digital right to work checks via a certified digital identity service provider (IDSP).
