A leading healthcare organization in Edinburgh seeks a highly motivated Pharmacy Technician Team Manager to oversee a team delivering high-quality prescribing support services. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in technical pharmacy services and team management. This part-time role offers a salary of £50,861 - £59,159 pro-rata with opportunities for professional development and mentorship.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join NHS Lothian’s Primary Care Pharmacy Central Services team as a Band 7 Pharmacy Technician Team Manager. This offers a unique chance to step into a senior leadership role, managing a team of pharmacy professionals and support staff and supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and cost-effective prescribing support services across general practices in Lothian. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering technical aspects of medicines management, supporting the implementation of pharmacotherapy services, and contributing to strategic service development. This is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience at a senior level and make a meaningful impact in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You will work alongside the existing postholder who will continue in post 2 days per week.

The Central Services Team provides a range of services to practice-based pharmacy teams across 120 GP practices, including prescribing data reporting, analysis, management of medicines shortages and maintenance of prescribing IT systems. In addition to this the team provides information and support to 180 community pharmacies with authorisation and procurement of unlicensed medicines.
