About the Role

As a paid apprentice, you'll gain hands‑on experience working on real‑world projects that make a difference. Alongside your role, you'll complete classroom‑based learning – either in person or virtually – with a reputable college or training provider. Upon completion, you'll earn a nationally recognised qualification that can lead onto exciting career opportunities. As an information communication technician apprentice, you'll play a key role in supporting and maintaining the computer and communication systems that keep Mott MacDonald running smoothly. These systems are essential for powering operations and enabling informed decision‑making across the business. You'll learn how to optimise and troubleshoot technology to ensure reliability, security, and efficiency, gaining hands‑on experience with the tools and processes that underpin our global operations. This opportunity is available in our central IT team in Newcastle.

Qualifications & Entry

If you are successful and are offered an apprenticeship with us, we will inform you who the training provider (college) will be for that opportunity. These providers will have their own grade entry requirements, so we’re unable to list them all here. However, most providers will expect you to have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English, Mathematics and/or a Science at grade 4/C. We will ask you to provide details of your achieved and/or expected grades during the application process.
