A public sector organization is seeking a Regional Safety and Security Officer in the South East of England. You will advise on Health and Safety regulations while supporting senior management in compliance efforts. The successful candidate will conduct risk assessments, audits, and investigations, ensuring safety policies are adhered to. We are running three separate RSSO recruitment campaigns at the same time for different regions, however you can only apply on one campaign. Your application that is submitted first will be taken as the region you wish to apply for and any subsequent applications that you make will not be progressed.
The successful candidate can be based at any HMCTS site in the South East, outside of M25. As part of your role, you will be expected to work at sites across your region, with occasional travel to other locations in the country.
The building sites listed in the advertisement are not exhaustive, you will have the opportunity to discuss and agree your preferred base location within your region with your line manager at onboarding stage.

The Regional Safety and Security Officer (RSSO) sits within the National Support Unit (NSU), reporting to the Safety and Security Lead. You will be responsible for advising and assisting the Incident and Safety Lead and Delivery Directors on Security, Health and Safety and Fire Safety matters to ensure that Operations complies with HMCTS operational and legislative requirements.
You will provide real-time advice, support and guidance to Senior Operational Managers and their staff to enable compliance with HMCTS’ security and safety policies and requirements. You will be expected to work flexibly across geographical areas.
