Job description

We are looking to recruit a Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver to work on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract at our 481 branch at Townsend Lane Neighbourhood Health Centre, Townsend Lane, Liverpool, L6 0BB.

Branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00. We are seeking a flexible individual who can work within these times, has great people skills, and is committed to providing a professional service to both customers and Pharmacy Teams.

Mileage reimbursement is 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile thereafter, in line with HMRC guidelines. Fuel receipts must be collected at each petrol station visit and the mileage claim submitted weekly.

Your main responsibility is to promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing, and residential homes, while upholding high customer‑service standards and acting as an ambassador for the Cohens brand. You must work effectively under pressure to meet the designated delivery times.

Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be responsible for ensuring deliveries comply with the company’s regulated procedures.

Basic computer skills are required so you can plan and print your daily routes at the branch before commencing deliveries.

You may also be asked to assist with PR exercises to increase business.

Use of your own vehicle is required. If appointed, your personal insurance policy must allow for business use. Please confirm with your insurer before attending an interview. The Company will provide a financial contribution to the business aspect of your insurance upon receipt of documentation showing any increased premium.

Excellent people skills are essential. You will work as part of a well‑established team and ensure customers receive a high standard of service.
