About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Crosby area. Your role will include providing tailored support to a student and to help them thrive in an inclusive environment.

1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: L23

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Type: Full-time

Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Pay: Paid to scale

Responsibilities

• Work closely with an individual student, offering personalised support for their development
• Provide support with classroom activities, and working with the student so that they remain engaged within the lesson
• Adapt learning styles to suit the students' needs
• Provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere which will help the student to build independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents to ensure the student is given all of the support required

Requirements:

• Team teach- this training can be provided
• Previous experience working with children.
• Experience supporting individuals with additional needs.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training will be provided).
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Ability to provide a minimum of two professional references/cover the last 2 years
