Overview

I am seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a school with a specialist team working with an individual child who is requires support with speach and language

Responsibilities

• Use specialist skills to enable the student to access the curriculum.
• Be ICT competent, have experience of working with assistive technology, or be willing to broaden ICT knowledge to include Augmentative and Assistive Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology.
• Assist with the physical needs of the student including personal care and manual handling.

Qualifications and Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as there will be a need to clarify and explain instructions clearly and build effective relationships.

Training and Location

All training for this post will be provided.

Within the school based in Portsmouth.
