We’re working with a specialist SEN school that supports pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), and they’re looking for a patient and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

Responsibilities
  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with complex learning needs
  • Using patience, encouragement, and creativity to build trust and confidence
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to create a safe and structured learning environment
  • Supporting communication, independence, and life skills alongside academic learning
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in school, care, or community settings)
  • A calm, resilient, and positive approach—you’re the steady hand when things get tough
  • Knowledge of severe learning difficulties, sensory needs, or communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton)
