1:1 LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (to support a pupil with an EHCP) - TEMPORARY For candidates who already hold a full and relevant Level 2 qualification in supporting teaching and learning: 28.75 hours per week, term time only (8.45am-3.15pm with 45-minute unpaid break, Monday to Friday, term time only). £18,888-£19,983 actual salary (£28,221-£29,856 FTE) This role will be in place until the funding reduces or ceases or the child leaves the school, whichever is soonest. We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to provide support to a pupil, based in the infants, with an EHCP, on a 1:1 basis.   • Hold an NVQ Level 2 or above in Specialist Teaching & Learning Support, Teaching & Learning Support, Childcare Learning & Development or equivalent.
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills - equivalent to at least Basic Skills Level 2/GCSE (4-9 /A-C) in English & Maths.
  • Have experience of working with primary aged children and the ability to demonstrate high quality phonics teaching and support.
  • Demonstrate in your application form any experience or knowledge you may have of working with children with complex needs.
