What are we looking for?

Senior Sales Manager / Assistant Director of Sales – India serving Waldorf Astoria Madlvies Ithaafushi is responsible for leading all sales initiatives in the Indian market, with a focus on maximizing occupancy and revenue for the resort. This role combines strategic account management with proactive business development to meet and exceed annual sales targets. By fostering key partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and maintaining a strong presence through client engagement and trade show participation, the role ensures the resort remains competitively positioned within these key markets.

What will I be doing?
  • Monitor sales performance against established targets and proactively adjust strategies, account coverage, and priorities to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
  • Identify, develop, and manage key strategic accounts within the assigned geographic markets.
  • Create and implement detailed account development plans for key clients to drive both short- and long-term revenue growth.
  • Actively contribute to the preparation of the annual Sales & Marketing Plan, quarterly forecasts, and the resort's annual budget. Ensure swift execution of planned initiatives and respond effectively to market shifts, economic factors, and competitor activity.
  • Understand and anticipate the needs and expectations of key accounts, translating these into tailored offerings and strategic actions.
  • Identify media and public relations opportunities that enhance resort visibility and brand positioning in luxury markets.
  • Attend weekly RevMax Meetings.
  • Provide timely insights to the Commercial Director, Director of Sales, regarding competitor movements and market trends.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of booking patterns, pricing strategies, and overall sales dynamics for the resort and the Private Island, as well as comp set.
  • Plan and execute sales trips; submit annual sales schedule and budget, with quarterly calendar updates.
  • Represent the resort at relevant luxury trade shows, exhibitions, and high-profile client events.
  • Organize and host familiarization (FAM) stays and site inspections in accordance with resort guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the resort team to deliver bespoke and flexible solutions aligned with the unique needs of your market segment.
  • Ensure all sales activities and client interactions are accurately documented and maintained in Delphi.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with the resort operations team, Hilton Worldwide Sales, and Hilton Luxury Sales teams.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by the General Manager or Commercial Director, in support of the Commercial Department and overall resort success.
Performance Metrics
  1. Revenue & Occupancy Performance: Achievement of annual revenue targets (room revenue, total resort revenue) from India markets; contribution to resort occupancy targets from assigned markets; revenue growth YoY (%) within strategic and key accounts.
  2. Account Management & Development: Number of strategic/key accounts maintained and developed; number of new high-value accounts acquired annually.
  3. Sales Activity & Engagement: Number of sales calls/meetings per month; number of sales trips conducted per year vs. planned; participation in trade shows/events and number of leads generated per event; number of FAM trips and site inspections hosted.
  4. Reporting: Accuracy and frequency of Delphi CRM updates (activity logging, account status).
What do I need?

  • Proficient level of written and verbal English
  • Sound computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Opera and Delphi.
