Position and assignments
A post-doctoral position in microbiota-host crosstalk in early life, funded by the collaborative project INRAE (National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment) – PiLeJe laboratory, is available from November 1st in the "Commensal and Probiotics Host Interactions Laboratory" headed by Philippe Langella, research director at Micalis Institute in the Paris region, France.
The postdoctoral position will focus on early life probiotic development. The probiotic field has experienced significant growth due to the health-promoting effects of these bacteria. The project, called INSPIRE (for isolation and characterization of new early-life candidate probiotics), aims to characterize and decipher the mechanisms of action of several probiotic candidates isolated from newborn baby samples. The study will include experiments with murine models of early-life microbiota perturbation, including germ-free animals.
INSPIRE has strong translational potential, as PiLeJe is a company specialized in developing and commercializing dietary supplements, nutrition, phytonutrition, and other health products. PiLeJe leads research and development activities to create innovative products and is a leader in nutritional supplements in France.
Geographic mobility: No business trips required.
