MGallery Nairobi Gigiri will feature 105 rooms and suites; four restaurants, including an all-day dining venue, a signature dining experience, a pool bar, and a rooftop restaurant and bar; meeting rooms and a business centre; and wellness facilities spanning a gym, pool and spa.

With a prime location on Gigiri’s Limuru Road, fairly close to Nairobi’s city centre and Village Market, it will attract UN and NGO delegates, consultants and contractors, as well as diplomats, leisure visitors and the local community.

Job Description

1. Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues.
2. Demonstrates brand service Plus Standards in all interactions.
3. Report on duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards.
4. Promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times with colleagues.
5. Offer professional, friendly, and warm service consistently.
6. Demonstrate a complete understanding of F&B Policies & Procedures and Service Standards as outlined in the brand.
7. Have full knowledge of the menu, beverage lists, and all other special promotions in the hotel. Know all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
8. Answer guest questions about menu items in an informative and helpful way.
9. Take corrective action if service errors occur, ensuring solutions exceed guest expectations.
10. Attend pre-meal briefings, weekly, and monthly meetings to continually improve guest experience.
11. Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
12. Perform any additional duties as requested by your manager related to total quality service delivery in the restaurant.

Qualifications

1. Must possess outstanding guest service skills, professional presentation, and sophisticated communication skills.
2. Must be guest-oriented, have a vibrant personality, and radiate enthusiasm to assist people.
3. Proficient in English (verbal & written); second language is an asset.
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.
5. Flexibility in working hours.
6. Computer literate.
