Solution Architect – VDI (H/F) – Toulouse, France

Airbus Defence and Space operates in a rapidly changing world requiring agility and flexibility to respond to business needs efficiently. The digital team sustains a challenging architecture that combines on‑premise and cloud‑based environments. High availability, response times and automation are critical.

Role Overview

You will be part of a Product & Service Line within the IT Infrastructure organisation, responsible for designing and operating the network infrastructure (VDI, LAN, WAN, IAM, Wireless, Network Security, Internet Access, Load Balancing).

Your Key Activities

• Act as visionary and subject‑matter expert for VDI technology cluster and NetScaler.
• Collaborate with architects, systems analysts and developers to deliver high‑quality solutions using cutting‑edge technologies.
• Participate in all phases of the product life cycle: design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
• Align architecture strategy with the organisation’s business goals and long‑term strategic planning.
• Define requirements and model solution patterns to guide decision making.
• Coordinate demands from M3 (concept phase) to EiS (Entry into Service) using project‑management methodologies.
• Implement project work packages in the VDI/NetScaler domain.
• Perform technical and functional design for new solutions.
• Validate product designs and ensure consistency across IT products.
• Coordinate technical integration with other product teams (network, IAM, etc.).
• Secure delivery of EiS with minimal impact on production.
• Provide L2/L3 support to RUN Operations in crisis situations.
• Acquire in‑depth knowledge of the current infrastructure environment and contribute to the Enterprise Architecture mission.
