Overview

Intertek is currently participating in a major tender for FLNG project and in anticipation of a project award, we are seeking a highly skilled Subsea System Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in subsea systems design, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop subsea systems in line with project specs, industry codes, and company standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration with offshore installations.
• Review and improve technical specifications and documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
• Oversee detailed engineering by Third Party Contractors; review and approve technical documents.
• Manage and resolve technical and interface issues across work packages.
• Support offshore installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, and SIMOPS meetings.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in subsea systems engineering, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
• Skills: Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations for subsea equipment.
• Languages: Proficient in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are a plus.
• Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

Contract duration: 1 to 3 years
