Background on Mondial Relay and the Strategy and Transformation team

Mondial Relay, part of the InPost Group, is the leader in the Out Of Home (OOH) delivery market in France. The business has 2x since its acquisition by InPost in 2021 and has bolder ambitions for the next 5 years to transform the French delivery market. The Strategy and Transformation team is central to deliver on this vision, focusing on driving the strategic agenda (incl. M&A) and delivering large cross functional projects. Reporting directly in Senior Leadership Team member Guillaume Cazalaa (former McKinsey Partner), the role of Strategic Planning and Project Management Analyst offer a unique opportunity to grow both strategically and operationally in a fast paced environment.

Description of the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with project management skills to join our team as a Strategic Planning and Project Management Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing business trends and market developments, conducting analysis to support business decision-making, developing strategic business plans, and managing projects from initiation to completion. You will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to help guide the direction of our company and ensure successful project outcomes.

Your main responsibilities :
  • Analyze industry trends, market opportunities, and the competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats, informing strategic decisions impacting the business.
  • Evaluate strategic performance, identify business strengths and weaknesses, and propose data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Operations, Finance) to understand business objectives and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, clearly articulating findings, recommendations, and potential impact on key business metrics.
  • Assist in setting organizational goals, objectives, and initiatives based on market research and competitive analysis.
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. (examples include launching new offerings and products, new operational processes, margin expansion programs, etc)
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure clear communication, timely delivery of tasks, and effective issue resolution.
  • Implement project management best practices and methodologies using [mention project management tools used, e.g., Asana, Jira] and ensure compliance with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Experience of 2/3 years in strategic analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English)
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously while maintaining strong collaboration
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira, MS Project), or CRM systems
  • Recognised for your listening skills and your ability to interact constructively and facilitate communication between a variety of stakeholders

Reporting

This position reports to the Director of Strategy and Transformation (member of the Senior Leadership Team).

Location

Remote with weekly presence in Lille at HQ (Mondial Relay Villeneuve d’Ascq)
