About the job:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Exchange Engineer to architect, operate and optimize complex Exchange Server and Exchange Online hybrid environments that support mission‑critical messaging services across the organization.

This role requires a technical leader capable of designing secure and scalable email infrastructures, resolving advanced messaging issues, and driving modernization initiatives aligned with Microsoft best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server environments (2016/2019/Subscription Edition) and Exchange Online, ensuring stability, security, and high availability.
• Manage and support hybrid Exchange deployments, including mail flow, connectors, coexistence, and identity integration.
• Troubleshoot complex messaging issues: mail delivery failures, transport disruptions, client access issues (Outlook, OWA, EWS), and protocol‑level failures.
• Lead or support large‑scale migrations, such as cross‑tenant migrations, staged or cutover migrations, and public folder migrations.
• Maintain complete documentation of the messaging infrastructure: configurations, failover procedures, operational runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration between Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, firewalls, and Microsoft 365 services.
• Implement and maintain email security and authentication standards: EOP, anti‑spam/anti‑malware, transport rules, DMARC, DKIM, SPF, and related InfoSec controls.
• Manage compliance and governance features: retention tags and policies, legal hold, eDiscovery, audit logs, and message tracing.
• Ensure proper configuration and governance of hybrid identity, Exchange Online Protection (EOP), secure mail routing, and certificate management.

What we are looking for:

• Proven, hands‑on experience administering Exchange Server 2016/2019 and Exchange Online, including hybrid deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, DNS, certificates, and identity synchronization (AAD Connect).
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting enterprise‑level messaging issues across protocols, mail flow, and client connectivity.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation, monitoring, reporting, and bulk administration tasks.
• Experience implementing messaging security, compliance, and retention solutions in regulated or enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and operational teams.
