Why we are hiring a Salesforce Engineer:

At Pennylane, Salesforce is not just a CRM—it is a product in itself. We are building a powerful internal tool that enables every team (Sales, Onboarding, Support, Finance) to deliver great value.

We are looking for experienced Salesforce Engineers, ready to go beyond writing Apex classes and LWCs. It encompasses system architecture, cross-platform integrations, CI/CD implementation, and a strong understanding of software engineering principles.

How you will contribute

You’ll join a wide department of more than 250+ software engineers. Within that, you will be part of a specialized Salesforce Squad (currently 7 people and growing) acting as the technical touchpoint between Product, Data, and Ops.

Your core responsibilities:
  • Build & Scale: Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions (Apex, LWC) that address complex business needs.
  • Engineering Excellence: Apply software engineering best practices (testing, deployment pipelines/CI/CD, observability) to the Salesforce platform.
  • Architecture: Architect and build integrations between Salesforce and our internal product or external systems.
  • Collaborate: Work directly with business owners from Marketing, Sales, and Finance to translate business pain points into technical roadmaps.
What you can expect from your life at Pennylane
Within one month:
  • Onboarding: You’ll learn everything about our company, teams, and vision during the first onboarding week.
  • Discovery: You'll familiarize yourself with the accounting industry, our Fintech operations, and the existing Salesforce architecture.
  • Integration: You'll get deep knowledge of our Product and Business team organization, methods, processes, and culture.
Within 3 months:
  • User Empathy: You’ll spend time with your internal users to understand their pain points and design solutions.
  • First Delivery: You'll roll out your first projects using Salesforce.
  • Optimization: You will begin optimizing existing tooling and processes to improve system performance.
Within 6 months:
  • Major Projects: You'll participate in full‑fledged projects from a tech perspective that impact several business teams.
  • Impact: You will be fully autonomous in driving technical decisions for the squad.
  • And beyond: This dedicated Salesforce team will inevitably grow in the years to come. Which means you’ll have :

  • A role to play in helping the team grow and recruit
What you’ll need:
  • Technical Mastery: Strong skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and JavaScript.
  • Engineering Mindset: Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated testing.
  • Product Vision: Ability to balance technical excellence with business value delivery.
  • Communication: You can explain complex technical constraints to non‑technical stakeholders.
The Recruitment Process

We make sure we move fast ; you can expect the recruitment process with us to last between 15 and 25 days in total.

If you are based in France, you will have a French contract following French regulation on top of the additional perks : 6 to 12 RTT, 5 weeks PTOs, lunch credits (Swile), Alan Blue healthcare cover and regular events in cities where Pennylaners are mostly presents (Lyon, Bordeaux, Nantes…)

We’re working on providing those last advantages to our people based outside of France as well, but it can be quite more complex depending on different countries.
