Qualifications

We are looking for a Public Affairs Lead who is strategic, influential, and collaborative to join us in our Market Access and Public Affairs team, based in our UCB office in Paris.

About the role

The Public Affairs Lead defines and implements local public affairs strategies, strengthens the company's influence with external stakeholders, ensures institutional representation, drives value for patients, and guarantees compliance and performance of public affairs activities.

Who you’ll work with

You will collaborate with internal teams across Market Access, Medical Affairs, and corporate functions, and engage with external stakeholders including health authorities, patient associations, and policymakers.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and implement long‑term public affairs strategy aligned with company priorities.
  • Coordinate public affairs actions with patient‑centered strategic plans.
  • Represent public affairs in local and global cross‑functional meetings.
  • Map networks and define operational model, engaging internal and external experts.
  • Build strong partnerships with key external health policy stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, monitor execution, and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Master’s in Business, Political Science, Law, or related field; postgraduate in Public Affairs.
  • 7–10 years’ experience in healthcare policy, government relations, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong leadership, networking, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in office tools.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with public decision‑makers.
