As a People Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the Convatec people agenda across France. You will collaborate closely with HR VPs and senior business leaders to deliver strategic HR support, implement global initiatives, and ensure alignment with local needs. This role requires a strong understanding of HR practices, local labor laws, and the ability to influence and support change across a dynamic organization.
Collaborate with HR VPs to understand business priorities and translate them into effective people strategies.
Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and line managers to proactively support talent and organizational needs.
Lead and support the execution of global HR initiatives within the region.
Drive core HR processes including Talent Management, Performance Management, and Leadership Development.
Lead or support organizational changes such as workforce planning, restructuring, and organizational design.
Act as a change agent to support transformation initiatives.
Partner with Legal to manage employee relations matters and ensure compliance with French labor laws.
Serve as the HR lead for Works Councils and other consultative bodies.
Facilitate annual performance, potential, and merit calibration processes for senior leaders (CELT+1 and above).
Conduct face-to-face exit interviews for designated roles and grades.
Monitor performance issues and recommend appropriate interventions, including training, coaching, or disciplinary actions.
Own and maintain local employment policies in collaboration with Shared Services.
Review and update country-specific HR policies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with global standards.
Support talent acquisition activities as needed.
Lead or contribute to regional and global HR projects, including M&A initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR generalist experience in fast-paced, high-performance environments.
Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of French labor legislation and HR best practices.
Experience working with Works Councils and employee representative bodies.
Fluency in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
High emotional intelligence and critical thinking capabilities.
Ability to balance global strategy with local execution.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and integrity.
