About the role:

As a Nuclear Fuel Mechanical Design Engineer, you will perform routine engineering design analyses using established Westinghouse methodologies to develop new nuclear fuel products and enhance existing ones, with an emphasis on core components.

You will report to the Grids & Core Component Design Manager and be located in Villejust (91) - France. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement of up to 3 days per week onsite.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work in multifaceted teams focusing on new product development or issue resolution.
  • Initiate and support product testing activities for nuclear fuel and related components. Evaluate test results and document findings in reports.
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to support design activities.
  • Perform design modifications to improve manufacturability.
  • Identify and help develop new business opportunities.
  • Develop skills necessary for more independent assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field required.
  • 0+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering principles and techniques.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
