About OWLO

Founded as a spin-off from CNRS lab Institut Langevin, OWLO is building next generation microscopy for healthcare.

Our unique technology provides real-time 3D imaging in a non invasive way, changing research and medical practice by making visible and quantifying what was previously not accessible.

Our first use case is in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) where 75% of embryo transfers fail today, resulting in long and expensive procedures that are stressful for women. We provide an entirely new way of looking at oocytes & embryos with new indicators to predict their viability before implantation to improve the efficiency of the procedure and reduce its cost.

About us

We are a motivated team of researchers, experts in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science and are looking for our first biology specialist for IVF applications. We are based in Paris, in the Latin Quarter, with great offices and a roof terrace.

Our product

We are building the next generation label-free microscope in various domains of applications. It is an add-on module associated with a conventional inverted microscope, coupled with a strong software that produces 3D images of complex biological structures in real time. Our goal is to provide quantitative information for embryologists to assess the quality of oocytes and embryos, increase the pregnancy rate and decrease the time-to-pregnancy.

Your role

You will lead the application of the product in IVF. Your missions will be to :

• lead the pre-clinical and clinical trials (define protocols, run experiments, analyze data, write reports, …)
• define new markers for oocyte and embryo quality assays
• manage collaborations with current and future partners in France and abroad
• publish in scientific journals and communicate results at conferences

• You are passionate about science, tech and biology, and you want to have a positive impact on people’s lives
• You have a degree in Biology (master degree or PhD)
• You have 3-5 years experience in either the academic world, or in a private company
• You are an autonomous and rigorous team player who does not hesitate to make propositions
