A leading provider of Industrial Ethernet Network solutions is looking for a Key Account Manager for Vertical Markets based in Lille, France. In this role, you will manage key accounts, create and execute sales strategies, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business targets. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least 2 years of relevant sales and account management experience, and excellent negotiation skills. Proficiency in English is essential and travel may be required up to 40%.

Role description

The Key Account Manager Vertical Markets will acquire and grow selected Key Accounts with repeatable, high volume and profitable business growth potential. You will execute the aligned account strategy and measure its success with appropriate KPI’s.

Role responsibilities
  • You will use your professional sales skills to achieve and exceed the sales quota and business targets as assigned.
  • Define a strategy plan per Key Account and align it with all necessary stakeholders. Derive critical tasks and execute accordingly. Constantly monitor the progress of the strategy and implement corrective measures as required.
  • Identify, qualify, propose and close new business opportunities at your assigned key accounts.
  • Monitor the delivery and implementation of your opportunities to make sure that customer’s expectations are met and customer satisfaction is assured.
  • Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders internally as well as with distribution partners to ensure the best possible business success and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to business success by providing market intelligence on vertical market segments (including information on business partners, competitors and key applications).
Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years working experience in overall Sales, Key Account management.
  • Understanding of the market, the industry, and the competitive landscape within industrial communication market
  • Customer-oriented approach, with the ability to understand and respond to and understand customer needs and expectations, build and maintain strong relationships with key clients
  • Understanding of the business and financial aspects of key account relationships.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies for retaining and growing key account relationships, and to identify new business opportunities.
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to effectively handle conflicts and manage sensitive situations

  • Professional Certificates / Licenses : valid driver’s license
  • Language : Excellent English (written and spoken), key languages from assigned country / country group is a must.
  • Travel portion of the role : as needed (40%)
