As a Junior Backend Engineer at Kiln, you will join our Software Team, composed of 14 engineers (Backend, Frontend, QA) split into squads, to build the future of our SaaS/API-first products. You will report to our Head of Software, and collaborate with the Product, Infrastructure and Smart-Contract teams to work on the various products that Kiln's offers. Develop and implement software features in our Golang services (data aggregators, APIs, Blockchain Transaction crafting, ...).
Take part in automation, testing, and CI/CD processes.
Participate in code review, bug fixing, code maintenance.
Ensure that our services communicate with each other seamlessly, have minimal downtime, and recover quickly.
Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company).
Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kiln's platform and engineering practices.
Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges.

+1 year of experience as Software Engineer (Backend), designing, building, and deploying user-facing, infrastructure-related, and/or API-based products.
First Golang programming experience — ideally a professional experience in a production environment or proven personal experience (e.g. Github project, hackathon...)
Familiar with container/orchestrator technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and Continuous Integration.
Curiosity and the ability to dig into a topic and follow through.
Be pragmatic to not over-engineer unnecessarily.
Own what is coded and shipped to production.

Fluent in both French and English.
