A financial services company in Montpellier is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee all financial operations. The candidate will ensure compliance with French accounting standards and will work directly with the CEO. Role Summary

The Head of Finance oversees all financial operations of Wello France and ensures compliance with French accounting standards, MiCA prudential requirements, and group-level governance.

This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (France) and functionally to the Group Finance Lead, maintaining oversight of financial planning, treasury, and statutory reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all financial statements, audits, and reports in accordance with French GAAP and IFRS.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, liquidity management, and cost control across departments.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accounting and prudential records in accordance with Article 67 of MiCA and AMF / ACPR guidance.
  • Monitor financial performance, capital adequacy, and risk indicators; advise the CEO on financial strategy.
  • Supervise taxation, payroll, and intercompany reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
  • Manage treasury operations, cash flow, and payment reconciliation.
  • Support investor reporting, fundraising, and capital allocation strategies.
  • Implement internal controls that segregate financial duties and ensure transparent governance.
  • Prepare periodic management reports and dashboards for the Board
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in finance leadership within fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of French regulatory and tax frameworks.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, audit coordination, and risk management.Familiarity with digital asset accounting treatment and safeguarding frameworks is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and French.
