Overview

HOI People & Engagement Head Coach/ Manager. The People & Engagement Head Coach will support and partner with key business stakeholders and with leaders to achieve the business strategy by supporting talent management (employee performance), team effectiveness, organizational design, organizational effectiveness and diversity, equity and inclusion solutions. The role uses business priorities and relevant data to translate into a people strategy that delivers high value and positively impacts performance, retention and the overall employee experience.

Role notes: Reporting to the Store Director, the candidate will partner closely with the Store Director, PS, ER, NAX, and L&T to deploy Nike & Flagship People Strategy. This Senior Leadership role sits in les Champs Elysée HOI 002 PARIS store, supporting the store team. The mission is to create an environment within the store that provides a premium employee experience with scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, engagement, wellbeing, training roll-out, talent development and related people topics. Potentially sharing best practices from the Flagship to the rest of the League/Geo where applicable.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Collaborates with the store management on organization design, workforce planning and talent management to build a strong pipeline within the organization.
  • Works closely with talent acquisition partners, focusing on attracting great talent and ensuring a diverse talent pipeline.
  • Assesses employee training and development needs to close gaps between current and future skill sets.
  • Works with the team & Leadership team to continuously evolve and elevate Retail fundamentals and support from people POV. Monitor the pulse of the organization to create locally relevant solutions and proactively review existing core processes, including store level training initiatives, annual review process, onboarding, talent planning, project management, policies and procedures, and document management.
  • Delivers the annual employee engagement survey strategy for HOI and deploys an action plan.
  • Works on DE&I topics and priorities by following up and deploying initiatives and calendar activities.
  • Creates tools, platforms and processes that support store leadership with the employee lifecycle, elevating individual (behavior scaling, skills gap analysis and performance management) and collective (high-performing team, inclusive and engaged environment, strong pipeline) people strategy.
  • Champions new initiatives to accelerate the next generation of leaders in store.
  • Partners with store management, local HR and ER to ensure cases are handled well.
  • Builds a strong partnership across the greater Paris stores team to support talent mobility and progression, ensuring effective collaboration and providing insights into strategies and priorities.
  • Builds effective working relationships with key stakeholders and employees at all levels to ensure effective organizational communications.
  • Performance management – collects documentation and supports managers on the performance management cycle.
  • Supports HR topics/initiatives to be cascaded in store in collaboration with the local HR team.
Education and Experience
  • 5 years in organization development, training or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management.
  • A minimum of 4 years of management experience.

  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to build, lead and manage high-performing teams.
  • Ability to utilize tools to support conflict resolution and employee coaching; focus on GenZ / Alpha.
  • Ability to drive projects and lead project teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a retail team environment.
