A global consulting firm based in France is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects, ensuring exceptional safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing large project packages, contribute to sustainability efforts, and support a diverse and inclusive work environment. A background in construction management and relevant qualifications are essential. This role provides an opportunity to engage in impactful projects while fostering a culture of safety and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing multiple large packages of work.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects.
  • Sound technical expertise in HSE regulations.

  • Works as part of the senior construction delivery team, taking direction from construction lead and project senior leadership team (SLT), providing guidance to wider team.
  • Promotes and drives the businesses priorities through construction to production, digital & data and responsible business.
  • Understands and formulates short‑term plans to deliver to programme, able to communicate with and coordinate trade/subcontractors.
  • Owns safety, wellbeing and quality deliverables for specific sections of the project.
  • contributes to establishing and maintaining health, safety and wellbeing culture onsite.
  • Supports managers in leading focussed forecast lookahead meetings, providing authority and guidance where required.
  • develops and maintains strong relationships with client and design CMT, knowing QA process to final sign‑off.
  • Provides comprehensive technical expertise and understanding of Mace onsite Standards for each part of the project, where to find them, and responsible for implementation.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement and plans, identifies key business improvements.
  • Develops and maintain a series of both internal and external relationships.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:
  • Detailed knowledge of construction methodology, process and inherent safety involved.
  • Detailed knowledge of digital platforms and how to implement onsite.
  • Detailed knowledge of Mace standards, where to find them, and how to implement them.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple large packages of work.
  • Planning and budget management experience.
You’ll also have:
  • Membership of MCIOB / MAPM / MRICS / MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the leisure sector.
  • Construction management expertise
  • Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
  • Aware of industry technology and advances.
  • Sound technical expertise in HSE regulations.
  • Offering an experienced perspective to all Site operations, exploring new and innovative methods
  • Clearly communicates and ensures that each direct/ indirect report knows their role and importance.
  • Aware of their influence and responsibility onsite, leading by example, being always fair and reasonable.
  • Owns problems within their remit and follows through to resolution.
  • Open and approachable, able to recognise and adapt approach to get results.
  • Mentors and develops individuals, sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Relevant NVQ or HNC (Or equivalent).
  • Experience in a site based Managerial role (or equivalent).
  • SMSTS and managerial/professional CSCS card.
