Role and Responsibilities

As part of a maternity leave replacement, you will join the Global Legal Department and be part of a team of six lawyers. You will report to the Global New Technologies Legal Director & Data Protection Officer and will be responsible for managing the Digital & E-commerce Division under the supervision of your line manager. You will supervise a Global New Technologies Lawyer.

  • Analyze and frame all projects led by the EME and Global Digital teams that require a review of legal risks (Digital Projects).
  • Analyze, negotiate, and draft all types of IT & Digital contracts (including personal data clauses): licensing, software, services, maintenance, hosting, integration, TMA, hardware, etc. in support of digital projects;
  • Advise business teams on consumer law requirements and payment tools related to online customer journeys;
  • Conduct an end-to-end review of our customers' online sales journeys, from accessing the website or mobile app to finalizing the purchase of products or services;
  • Draft, analyze, and review all standard contractual documentation: general terms and conditions of sale, general terms and conditions of use, notices, etc.
  • Coordinate with local lawyers on the implementation of digital projects and related documentation, with a particular focus on standardizing the Core Model for countries in the EME region;
  • Act as a point of contact for the EME and Global Digital teams;
  • Support IT and digital teams with site launches and omnichannel implications (implementation of online or in-store media, e-commerce and CRM features, etc.);
  • Ensure the onboarding of new arrivals and the training of digital teams to raise awareness of legal risks and contractual documents;
  • Co-lead with the Global ICT Legal Director presentation sessions for the EME Digital Executive Committee on key legal risks, projects, or topics;
  • Participate in Digital steering committees to alert and/or inform about new legislative or regulatory provisions and project news;
  • Conduct various studies such as research on a given subject, drafting memos or other legal documents for operational staff or other internal clients;
  • Manage and prevent disputes or litigation.
