Role Title: Business Analyst. Department: Operations Excellence. Location: London. Type: Permanent.
The Business Analyst will assist in the design, build and implementation of LII strategic initiatives across regions, capabilities and lines of business. This role will report into the Head of Operations Excellence and form part of the broader LII Operations organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis work to a consistently high standard within a range of initiatives including Right Work Right Desk, UW Modernization and others in line with regional strategic plans
- Conduct detailed process analysis to understand current state ways of working and to identify the “To Be” future state operating models.
- Identify the relationships, dependencies and impacts of change (highlighting options) across people, process and systems.
- Contribute to initiatives as required to develop proposals, requirements, benefits assessments or other project documentation.
- Elicit further requirements and test / challenge assumptions using a variety of methods including interviews, document analysis, workshops, and business process descriptions.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Leverage process mapping, automation and AI tools to generate key documentation and analysis
- Support Optimization Leads in driving change with all levels of business stakeholders, obtain buy in and sign off and manage expectations.
- Accurately identify and estimate deliverable efforts and commitments.
- Support the use of product level KPIs to drive product decisions.
- Support creating and maintaining the backlog (including prioritization, and acceptance criteria).

Skills and Experience
- Business analysis experience and knowledge of business analysis methodologies.
- Experience defining and documenting epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, etc for complex solutions (preferred).
- Experience of Insurance and/or Reinsurance business processes and technology solutions (preferred).
- Experience of working within a London Markets insurer and knowledge of Delegated Authority business (preferred).
- Good knowledge of business functions, business operations, objectives, and strategies.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Visio, or similar tools to help with requirements gathering and demonstrating concepts.
- General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies, including architectural and security concepts, systems development lifecycle, information management and portfolio management.
- BPMN or similar business process modelling skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as harmoniously in teams.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both in business and technical terms.
- Ability to work to deadlines and to meet standards.
- Good presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and pragmatic.
- Fluent in English and Local Language
