A global leader in cleaning and hygiene solutions is looking for a Business Development Manager in the pharma & personal care market. The role involves driving new customer acquisition, managing deal volume, developing strategic sales plans, and conducting market research. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 6 years of technical sales experience, preferably within the Personal Care industry. Proficiency in German and English, along with strong interpersonal skills, is essential.

Qualifications

  • 6 years of successful technical sales or outside sales experience with a consultative approach.
  • Prior experience in industrial environments, especially in Personal Care, is ideal.
  • Willingness to travel in Europe.

Join Ecolabs sales team as a Business Development Manager in the pharma & personal care market. Ecolab Life Sciences is focused on developing and commercializing cleaning & disinfection solutions for Global manufacturers of Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Health and Beauty products. Ecolab Life Sciences provides differentiated solutions along with a wide variety of technical and validation services.

What Will You Do:
  • Drive new customer acquisition with a hunter approach to expand our market presence in cosmetic industries

  • Manage significant deal volume and target account pipelines

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting prioritized opportunities

  • Respond to inbound lead generation leverage sales experience and skills to close new accounts

  • Leverage knowledge of Personal Care industry and sales experience to establish credibility with current and prospective customers cultivating relationships with key stakeholders

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and competitors

  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts to inform managements strategic decision-making and to reflect appropriate management of the territory and sales pipeline

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to win new business

  • Actively participate in strategic industry seminars trade shows and conferences to establish new contacts generate leads and stay informed about Personal Care industry developments

Your profile:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering (Chemical Mechanical Industrial Science) or related field

  • 6 years successful technical sales or outside sales experience utilizing a consultative sales approach

  • Ideally prior experience working in industrial environments (in Personal Care)

  • Willingness to travel in europe

  • Strong interpersonal intercultural & relationship skills

  • Language: German and English

  • Analytical skills combined with an inquisitive nature strong learning agility and a proactive hands‑on approach

  • Project management organizational and planning skills
