A global beauty company in Clichy is seeking a Patent Portfolio Manager to oversee the administrative management of patents and collaborate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a CAB certification and a BAC +2/3 level diploma, along with at least 3 years of experience in patent management. This role requires excellent organizational skills, proactivity, and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. English proficiency is essential for international collaboration.

In the department of DIPI, we are looking for a Patent Portfolio Manager.

Type of contract: Fixed-term contract

As a Patent Portfolio Manager, your main responsibilities include :

  • Comprehensive Patent Administrative Management: Ensure the rigorous administrative management and processing of patent files, working closely with patent engineers, external IP firms, and L’Oréal's research centers (including international locations).
  • Database Administration: Accurately record, maintain, and track all procedural data within our patent management system, thereby guaranteeing the integrity and accessibility of information.
  • Deadline Monitoring and Management: Actively monitor procedural deadlines, manage schedules, and coordinate necessary actions to meet legal and internal timelines.
  • Portfolio Coordination: Proactively manage the entire assigned patent portfolio, ensuring fluid communication with various stakeholders.
  • Contribution to Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in the animation of the patent administration hub, proposing and implementing improvements for our internal procedures, organization, and tools, in a collective optimization effort.

To succeed in this position:

  • You are holder of the CAB (Certificat d'Assistant Brevets)
  • You are holder of a BAC +2/3 level diploma (BTS or License) supplemented by training in Industrial Proper
  • Minimum 3 years of significant experience in an Industrial Property department (within a company or a firm), specifically in patent management.
  • Operational command of English is indispensable for interacting with our international partners.
  • Rigor and Organization: Meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to structure your work.
  • Dynamism and Proactivity: Initiative-taking spirit and ability to anticipate needs and issues.
  • Deadline Management: Aptitude for meeting strict deadlines and efficiently organizing a busy work schedule.
  • Team Spirit and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with diverse stakeholders.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Constant desire to acquire new patent knowledge and share it.
