Conan is a leading open-source C / C++ package manager, used by thousands of organizations around the world, from small teams to some of the largest world enterprises. You will join the JFrog team of maintainers of the Conan project, responsible for all operations, support, design, architecture, development, releases, integrations, and communication of the Conan open source project. Your role in the team will have a strong focus on the product side, measuring, analyzing and improving flows and processes for the different project components and integrations (Conan client, ConanCenter, IDEs and build system integrations, and JFrog integrations), always with a hands-on approach collaborating with both Conan team and JFrog product engineers.

As a Conan Product Engineer at JFrog you will…

• Propose, design, implement, operate, and maintain the different data sources, analytic,s and dashboards to track the team projects.
• Continuously analyze and improve the data, providing actionable insights for product development, and collaborate hands-on in moving those actions through the whole process.
• Improve flows and processes, from the support and development phases to the communication (docs, blog posts, conferences, etc) phases, proactively contributing to them.
• Participate in all project and product decisions, architecture, prioritization, and planning.

To be a Conan Product Engineer at JFrog you need…

• 4 years of experience as a software engineer & developer : expertise in Git, testing, developing code (Python experience is a very positive advantage, Conan is written in Python), code reviews, continuous integration, releasing, etc. - necessary
• 2 years of experience in a product-oriented role : dashboards, analytics, product management, product design and architecture, user support and operations, etc. - necessary
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent - recommended
• Experience in cloud environments, Docker, and k8s - an advantage
• Experience with C and C++ build engineering (compilers, build systems as CMake, binary artifacts, ABI, etc) or the C++ ecosystem - a great advantage
• Experience in OSS communities and projects - an advantage
