What you’ll do

As a Senior PHP Developer, you’ll play a key role in building and improving the backbone of our platform. You’ll write clean, efficient, and scalable code, design reliable databases, and tackle challenging problems that come with a global marketplace used by thousands every day.

You’ll also help shape how we do things: sharing ideas, suggesting better ways to build, and mentoring teammates. If you’re someone who cares about best practices, loves shipping high-quality code, and enjoys collaborating across disciplines — you’ll fit right in.

Your day-to-day

1. Develop, maintain, and scale backend services using PHP and Symfony.
2. Design robust, optimized database structures and write efficient SQL queries.
3. Use Git to manage version control and support clean, collaborative development.
4. Support and help improve our DevOps practices (we like people comfortable with servers and deployments).
5. Write tests and follow good testing practices (TDD, BDD) to ensure reliability.
6. Contribute to system design — you understand patterns, architecture, and how things fit together.
7. Work with asynchronous systems, queues (RabbitMQ), and microservices when needed.
8. Take part in code reviews, share your knowledge, and help junior developers grow.
9. Collaborate daily with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to deliver features that make a difference.
10. Keep an eye on code quality, scalability, and performance at every step.

What we’re looking for

• 6+ years of professional experience building backend systems with PHP.
• Deep expertise in Symfony.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and query optimization.
• Good understanding of version control workflows with Git.
• Solid grasp of DevOps basics — you’re comfortable troubleshooting, deploying, and helping keep things running smoothly.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working — we use Trello to stay organized.
• A proactive mindset — you take ownership, solve problems, and propose improvements.
• Passion for clean code, quality, and continuous learning.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
