A leading global healthcare company in Madrid is seeking a Senior Manager Data Products Engineer to design, build, and deploy data products that follow FAIR principles. This role requires a minimum of 6 years in data engineering in pharma/biotech, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in a related field and will directly contribute to improving regulatory readiness and accelerating development timelines.
Global Development relies on high‑quality reusable and interoperable data to accelerate trials, strengthen insights, and ensure regulatory readiness.
The Senior Manager Data Products Engineer will design, build and deploy FAIR‑compliant, ontology‑aligned data products that integrate operational, regulatory and scientific data across multiple therapeutic areas.
You will turn roadmap requirements from the Data Strategy team into technical reality, ensuring data products are robust, scalable and ready for analytics, AI/ML and automation.
Education
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics or related discipline.
Experience
6 years in data engineering or technical delivery within pharma/biotech, ideally in clinical development environments.
Proven track record building productized data assets integrated with enterprise data architectures.
Skills & Expertise
Strong technical problem‑solving with an engineering mindset for scalability and resilience.
Proficient in modern data engineering tools and methods (infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, data automation).
Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional business and technical teams.
Clear communication skills to convey technical design to non‑technical audiences.
