• Expertise in 360º event production.

Your Mission

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Events Specialist to coordinate the events & Sponsorships strategy for BYD in Spain. This role is critical to strengthen the brand positioning through physical events, sponsorships experiences.

You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end management of high-impact automotive events, from large‑scale Motor Shows and Press Launches to dynamic Test Drive tours, Dealer Conferences, sponsorships and activations. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of the Spanish events landscape to manage agencies and suppliers, ensuring cost‑efficiency and execution that aligns with our mission of a zero‑emission future.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Strategic Planning & Execution: Define and execute the annual events calendar (B2B, B2C, Press & sponsorships) aligning with product launches and sales targets.
• Agency & Supplier Management: Lead the tendering, negotiation, and management of specialized external agencies. Utilize your established network of trusted suppliers (production, logistics, catering, hostesses, AV) to guarantee top‑tier quality and competitive pricing.
• Automotive Logistics: Manage the specific complexities of automotive events, including fleet logistics, charging infrastructure planning for EVs, insurance, and dynamic test drive route planning.
• Brand Experience: Ensure every touchpoint (stand design, merchandising, staff training) strictly adheres to BYD’s brand guidelines and elevates our premium positioning against legacy competitors.
• Budget Control: Own the events budget, ensuring rigorous tracking, ROI analysis, and optimization of resources.
• Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital/Social team to ensure events generate content and leads, and with the Sales/Network team to support dealer activation.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of proven experience in Event Management, specifically within the Automotive sector (OEM or specialized Automotive Events Agency).
• Deep knowledge of the Spanish events market with an active portfolio of reliable suppliers and agencies.
• University Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related fields.
• Effective and fluent communicator in Spanish and English (C1 level minimum).
• Expertise in 360º event production (creative, technical, logistical).
• Strong negotiation skills and financial acumen.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel/PPT) for reporting and presentations.
