A leading energy company in Madrid is looking for a Project Finance Manager to oversee financial performance and manage communications with banks. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and strong analytical and financial modeling skills. This role requires 4-6 years of experience in project finance, preferably in the energy sector. A collaborative spirit and fluency in English are essential for success.

Formación

• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate ongoing communication and negotiations with a club of banks financing the project portfolio.
• Review, validate, and update complex financial models to reflect project performance and refinancing scenarios.
• Collaborate with technical advisors to ensure alignment between technical and financial assumptions and outputs.
• Support the refinancing process, ensuring all required documentation, analyses, and due diligence are accurately completed and submitted on time.
• Oversee the onboarding process for new projects entering the financing warehouse, ensuring smooth integration and compliance with financing requirements.
• Monitor project financial performance and provide timely reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with project portfolios and refinancing activities.

Education & Training

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related area
• Experience in a Big Four or an investment fund will be a plus.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in project finance, preferably within infrastructure or energy sectors.
• Proven track record in managing syndicated loans or multi-lender financing structures

Technical Skills

• Hard worker, flexible, with ambitious mind-set and collaborative spirit.
• Being able to manage Excel files with at least advance user level of skills. Financial modelling and certain level of experience with macros and Visual Basic will be a plus.
• Good analytical skills and basic understanding of relevant financial and mathematical modelling techniques for project finance and assets valuations.
• Project Finance and / or M&A interest. Previous experience will be a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express ideas effectively and fluently
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment where teamwork and independent work ethic are essential
• Ability to synthesize and organize large amounts of data and to manage different transactions simultaneously
• Ability to organize time well and set proper priorities
• International experience will be highly valuable

Languages

• Fluent in English, other European languages are a plus.
