A financial services consulting firm in Madrid is seeking a Junior Accountant to manage invoicing, bank reconciliations, and prepare financial reports. Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, a degree in accounting or related field, and be proficient in English. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive team-oriented attitude. Strong interest in diverse cultures is also valued.

Formación

For its Madrid based office , our client, an international Financial Services structure, is currently looking for a :

Junior Accountant - experience in a Fiduciary or Financial Services environment (m / f)

Responsibilities (but not limited to)
  • Accounting, reporting, and preparing and issuing invoices for several companies.
  • Bank reconciliations, preparation and submission of tax returns and SII, and preparation and review of annual accounts.
  • Preparing all types of accounts, payments, cash flow statements, reports, financial statements, cash positions, and tax positions for client companies.
  • Preparing regulatory reports for third parties.
  • Bookkeeping, including accounting entries and related supporting documentation.
  • Assisting with audits by providing the required information.
  • Obtaining accounting information for tax filings and preparing tax submission files for the STA.
  • Supporting clients with financial reporting, including periodic balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and annual accounts.
Profile
  • Ideally minimum of 1 year of working experience managing a client portfolio as well as full accounting lifecycle experience within the Spanish framework.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficient level of English (B1 / B2 / C1) to communicate fluently with clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects or tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to daily tasks and a strong team-oriented attitude.
  • Interest in working with different cultures.
