Formación

You will join our Bright Service Engineers team at our newly established location in Spain and report directly to Koen Verstraeten, Project Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and optimising bioenergy systems that contribute to a more sustainable future.

What will your role as a Field Service Engineer entail?

In this role you will organise, plan, and perform preventative maintenance on bioenergy systems, which includes annual servicing as well as periodic check‑ups every few months to ensure optimal performance.

You will supervise contractors during plant construction and take part in a 24/7 site and emergency support team. Additionally you will work on adjusting, optimising, and maintaining systems, as well as providing fault‑finding services.

Furthermore, you will be:

  • Commissioning and testing bioenergy systems, including both mechanical and electrical components;
  • Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), such as I/O checks, mechanical tests and performance evaluations;
  • Leading and documenting Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and performance or availability tests;
  • Diagnosing and resolving system faults;
  • Inspecting hardware and software aspects of control systems;
  • Applying your technical expertise in a rapidly growing, sustainability‑focused sector.

What skills and qualities do you bring?
  • Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering;
  • Familiarity with Anaerobic Digestion/Biogas Plants or similar plant/process environments is a plus;
  • Flexible approach to work, including availability for travel and overnight stays;
  • Ability to act quickly on site, arranging people and resources as needed to ensure smooth operations;
  • Strong communicator, collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners;
  • Proactive, solution‑focused mindset with a collaborative approach to on‑site challenges.
