Formación

Join our team in Madrid as a Field Service Engineer, where you will be a member of the Spain & Portugal Service group, with focus on providing professional and suitable after-sale support to the Emerson Automation Solutions Customer base for all PWS Systems (power and water systems), including support for first line maintenance and repair services, site installation, commissioning and start-up. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for executing this work in accordance with the Emerson standards of safety and quality.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Customer Support - assist customers in the resolution of Emerson Automation Solutions product and application problems, predominantly for our Ovation Control System:
    • Act as first customer contact during project warranty and after warranty period as a team member or independently
    • Performs investigation, troubleshooting, resolution and recommendation to issues identified in customer installation in a range of current Ovation products, third party connectivity products, cyber security products, working independently or under minimum supervision
    • Independently performs services on site, as well as remotely, scheduled services and on-call services
    • Executes DCS migrations, evergreens, service and other KOB3 projects independently or under minimum supervision
    • Where necessary initiate and coordinate support from the Emerson Regional/Global Support Centers.
    • Participate on the On-call rotation
  • Commissioning Support – act as commissioning Lead Engineer to carry out installation/commissioning.
  • Sales Support - assist Sales Engineers in the demonstration of Emerson Automation Solutions products to potential customers and to provide guidance in product application and after sales service
  • Working Environment - be flexible to work throughout Spain & Portugal territory and abroad and work unsociable hours including weekends to support customers.
  • Safety Systems - carry out work on Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) to Emerson procedures.
  • Project Execution - develop and implement product/system configuration changes at site to meet customer requirements.
  • Customer Training - Provide on-site customer training in the application, service and operation of Emerson Automation Solutions products.
  • Safety - Adhere to the company’s and customer HSEQ standards at all times.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Degree in an engineering discipline, such as mechanical / electrical, computer science or control systems. (Minimum technical College level).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Service or Instrument Engineer in a process control / power plant environment with a particular emphasis on installation, commissioning and start-up.
  • Have a good understanding and experience of safety systems
  • Strong communication skills and technical competencies in line with job responsibilities.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English –written and spoken.
  • Car driving license and availability to travel
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience in power generation processes will be an advantage.
  • Experience in repair and servicing ofOvation Control System will be an advantage
  • A good understanding of C&I theory including Control loop configuration and tuning
