As our Senior Engineering Leader, you will play a crucial role in our mission, collaborating closely with our business stakeholders, leading teams to architect and launch groundbreaking new offerings on our platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in adapting the next generation of industry‑leading solutions, transforming how jewelry is bought and sold online.
Impact & Delivery : Drive the expansion of Nivoda's category offerings on our platform and mobile app. Build a high performing team that aligns with the company’s business objectives.
People Management : Mentor managers/tech leads and retain talent, foster growth plans at each level of the team, and define, measure and own key metrics for team performance and goals.
Tech influence : Build solutions and own the technical direction and decisions alongside the tech leads.
Strategy and Leadership : Spearhead translating business requirements to tech solutions, strategise long‑term engineering initiatives and own staffing requirements.
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration : Build strong stakeholder relationships, influence senior leaders, and collaborate effectively across departments to drive initiatives.
Organisational Wide Impact : Contribute to the wider Nivoda engineering culture, including developing best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines to be adhered to throughout the development lifecycle.
Drive with Business Acumen : Leverage expertise to improve customer touchpoints and make decisions aligned with the company’s vision, contributing to strategic growth.
Innovation : Stay abreast of emerging technologies to inform decision‑making and ensure the engineering teams remain competitive.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of management, and proven experience as a manager of managers and technical leads, with a strong track record of leading successful projects from inception to delivery.
Proficiency in system architecture and design with knowledge of data stores.
Good understanding of cloud technologies (AWS) and streaming data tools such as Kafka, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
Experience in leading cross‑functional projects and proficiency in project management process and techniques such as staff planning, executing, and monitoring projects.
Experience in leading and mentoring teams and driving them toward big goals with consistent execution.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to succinctly explain deep technical concepts, effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
Experience with building Ecommerce Marketplace solutions or products would be a bonus.
