Role Overview

Reporting Line: VP of Finance (Corporate) and functional reporting to the General Manager (UMH Madrid)

The Finance Director will lead the financial function of UMusic Hotel Madrid, playing a key role in establishing robust financial structures, controls, and reporting for the hotel.

The role will have full financial responsibility for UMusic Hotel Teatro Albéniz. As the brand expands in Madrid with the opening of a second hotel, this position offers a clear career development opportunity to assume regional finance leadership for Madrid, overseeing multiple properties.

This role requires a strong hospitality or lifestyle brand background, with the ability to operate in a creative, experience-led environment while maintaining rigorous financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities
Hotel Financial Leadership
  • Oversee all financial operations of UMusic Hotel Madrid, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Implement and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures aligned with corporate and group standards.
Business Partnering & Strategy
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to the General Manager and hotel senior leadership team.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational decision‑making and profitability.
  • Support pricing strategy, revenue management, cost control, and capital expenditure initiatives.
Systems & Processes
  • Establish and optimise financial systems, reporting tools, and workflows suitable for a growing hotel portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and audit processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors, advisors, and tax authorities.
Team Leadership & Growth
  • Build and lead the finance team at UMusic Hotel Madrid.
  • Develop talent and succession planning to support future expansion.
  • Over time, assume leadership of the finance function across multiple UMusic Hotels in Madrid, with potential responsibility at regional level.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within hospitality (hotel experience is essential).
  • Strong background in financial control, reporting, and compliance.
  • Experience in pre‑opening and/or multi‑property environments is highly desirable.

Qualifications
