Job Description : Crypto Finance and Treasury Analyst

Venga is on a mission to take innovative blockchain technologies from Web3 and DeFi space and bridge them to traditional finance inside a powerful app, empowering people to effortlessly discover, invest, and navigate the world of Web3.

Who We're Looking For

As Venga’s first Finance & Treasury Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in day-to-day treasury operations, supporting both fiat and crypto financial workflows, liquidity oversight, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with 2–3 years of relevant experience within the crypto industry looking to grow in a high-impact, fast-paced startup.

What You'll Be Doing

Treasury Operations

• Manage daily crypto and fiat cash positions across multiple wallets, exchanges, and bank accounts.
• Execute internal crypto and fiat transfers, ensuring correct authorisations and transaction documentation.
• Monitor liquidity levels and escalate any shortfalls or funding needs in real-time.
• Support treasury forecasts by updating working capital models and short-term cash flow planning.

Reconciliations

• Support the CFO on the establishment of the crypto and fiat reconciliation processes.
• Own the end-to-end reconciliation process for all crypto and fiat transactions.
• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Maintain reconciliation dashboards and automate reporting where possible.
• Document all reconciliation processes

Monitoring & Alerting

• Implement and maintain treasury monitoring and alert systems (e.g. wallet balances, failed transactions).
• Work with Compliance team to flag anomalies or suspicious activity.

Reporting

• Prepare daily and weekly reports on treasury positions and cash movements.
• Assist in month-end close processes including treasury-related journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Support internal and external audit processes with timely and accurate data.
• Assist with long term cash and crypto forecasting and management information to the CEO, using both manual and eventually automated reporting processes using the Holded ERP system.

Finance System Implementation

• Assist the CFO with the implementation of the Holded ERP system
• Assist the CFO with implementation of a crypto accounting system
• Work with the CFO to design and implement the Finance systems architecture and most effective ways of working

Finance Administration

• Manage invoice approvals, payments, and tracking in collaboration with the wider finance team.
• Assist with the onboarding of new banking and exchange partners.
• Maintain accurate and well-documented treasury SOPs and controls.
• Work collaboratively with the team to implement an effective financial control framework
• Maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including gestors, banks, crypto providers, advisors, finance systems.

Who You Are & What You'll Need

• 2–3 years experience in a finance or treasury analyst role within a crypto environment.
• Hands-on experience managing crypto and fiat financial operations , including reconciliations and reporting.
• A very high level of English.
• Proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets and a strong understanding of financial systems and controls.
• Experience using wallets, custodians, exchanges , and related monitoring tools (e.g. block explorers, alerting systems).
• Working knowledge of treasury workflows and liquidity management principles.
• Familiarity with accounting concepts related to crypto assets and fiat.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment with evolving processes and priorities.
• You can break complex problems into viable and actionable chunks and solve each problem accurately and effectively.
• You communicate easily with the team and are not afraid to take the lead in solving complex cases and dealing with customers.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or other relevant degree

Nice to Have…

• Exposure to ERP systems – we work with Holded
• Interest in or experience with automating financial processes or using SQL for data extraction.
• Prior experience supporting audits or regulatory reporting.
• Experience working with AML processes and controls
