We are looking for passionate and talented Data Scientists to join our European Cloud Systems and Operations team. In this role you will roll up your sleeves and apply data‑science methods and analytics to real‑world business situations across a variety of cloud‑technology scenarios. As the field of advanced analytics rapidly evolves, you will stay current on leading‑edge applications, tools and approaches, proactively working with Analytics Leadership to enhance offerings that deliver a competitive advantage to TD SYNNEX. Successful candidates are intellectually curious builders who are biased toward action and communication.

Our Data team working environment:

• Always working with the latest data‑science, cloud‑based technologies such as MS Azure stack, Databricks, Snowflake SQL, Python/R, Power stack
• Large number and size of data sources / variable analytics use cases (truly BIG DATA)
• Start‑up‑like dynamic environment with the stability of the corporation
• 100% of work on real use cases with real business use (no POCs without use)
• Agile and experimental approach, new implementations within days, not months
• Active involvement in end‑to‑end business solutions, including solution design and presentation of the results of your work
• Your opinion matters and your personal development is equally important as the development of the company
• Collaboration with Data Science professionals of all sorts of different expertise

The role expectations

• Deep data‑science expertise; efficiently advise multiple teams on uncovering critical insights for clients
• Autonomous self‑starter with passion for analytics and problem solving; help build new analytics service offerings and support proposals and selling documents
• Strong presence, collaborations and leadership skills; must operate effectively in a matrix organization
• Love building things and comfortable with modern development tools
• Proven ability to synthesize complex data and deep understanding of modern machine‑learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, translating into business implications for clients

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required

• Hands‑on programming/scripting in Python, Scala, or R
• Confident statistical and machine‑learning skills
• Experience managing a team
• Strong experience with practical data science and hands‑on involvement with deployed ML pipelines in a business environment
• Relevant SQL skills
• Team player with great communication skills and willingness to grow other team members
• Proactive and self‑motivated
• Minimum 4 years experience as a Data Scientist
• Fluency in English
