An educational institution in Madrid is seeking a professional to support the organization of design laboratories. The ideal candidate will guide students in building their models while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and scheduling laboratory activities. Responsibilities include managing material purchases and equipment maintenance. Job summary

Provides support to the organization of the School's design laboratories guaranteeing the didactic activities of the courses/ programs, in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key purpose of the role

Student Revision and Follow up

Guides the students in the realization of the model by providing technical knowledge, advices, knowledge of materials, craft techniques. Supervises the student’s work until the complete realization of the model.

Laboratories Planning

Supports the Line Manger in scheduling and organizing the laboratories, provides appropriate information on the available equipment of laboratories (in relation with the didactic needs); assures and supports the team for end-of-course activities and for events and promotional activities (Open days, welcoming of students, etc.).

Safety

Supervises the implementation of policies and procedures set by Laboratories Head/Manager/Director in order to guarantee a safety work environment in laboratories in compliance with regulatory law; trains new students in safety procedures and limitations inside the design laboratories.

Purchase of Materials

Supports the distribution of materials needed for didactic activities and consumables; ensures the monitoring the materials in stock and their correct disposal (loading and unloading of materials, space management, and inventories).

Equipment

Guarantees activities of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment.

Requestor

Searches of materials, contacts suppliers for a quote estimate, enters the related orders in the procurement sysem, ensures the monitoring of the materials and evasion.
